Microsoft makes a breakthrough in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence.

Since 2016, Microsoft Power BI has demonstrated a significant growth on both the ‘completeness of vision’ and ‘ability to execute’ axis. Power BI has been available to the larger public since July 2015 and significant progress has been made in this short time span. Power BI is not only increasingly often being used by organizations, it is also worthy of note that more and more organization-specific departments and functions are using Power BI.

Power BI is the most modern Business Intelligence solution available on the market today. Microsoft is doing everything it can to continuously add new innovations to Power BI. Their motto is ‘five minutes to wow’. The aim is to allow potential users to register with Power BI within 5 seconds and that the service provides added value for organizations after just 5 minutes.

There’s a reason why Power BI is becoming more and more of a hot item among organizations; Power BI is increasingly popular worldwide.

Short cyclical development is made possible by placing the user central. New updates for the services are released every week and Power BI Desktop is updated monthly. The Power BI community’s feedback is continuously used in the development of these updates. As a result, more and more features are added based on the need of current Power BI users. Since July 2015, more than 200,000 active users have contributed over 6,000 ideas. All these ideas have directly resulted in the evolution of Power BI. Microsoft actively listens to its active users and Power BI has only managed to become the product it is today thanks to the input from users.

By means of a short cyclical approach, Microsoft has managed to catch up with its competitors in terms of visualization tooling for its BI environment and created the most innovative product on the market.
